I just love Canvy. It’s a tool where you can upload your artwork and see how it looks in a room. You can make mock ups and download the image and then promote as you like. It fulfills the part of me that desperately wants to rearrange other peoples houses that I could only satisfy before by playing The Sims.
And it’s freeeeee $$$
Well, a version of it is. This version comes with 7 rooms you can decorate with your art, but you have a size limit for the artwork you upload and the mock up images you download. I was able to upload the full res jpg of my art and I photograph my art in high def. So, to me, this seems more than sufficient. The featured image for this post is from the free version, and I think it looks great.
And I mean, look at this living room! It’s awesome. I feel like I know the family already: they’re grounded but fun, they’re into hygge and all things cozy, they have a giant shaggy dog that offsets the throw rug. They just needed a pop of color with a twist of whimsy in their living room, and boom. Enter Cranes in Bloom, a 36″x36″ acrylic beauty featuring 9 paper cranes flying among the magnolia branches.
If you want to see this painting in person, it will be in the Ferndale District Library’s Spring Exhibition with the opening reception on April 21st at 2pm, 2024. I will also have prints of this painting available at Pancakes & Booze at Tangent Gallery in Detroit, Feb 16th, 2024.
Hope to see you there.
